Skin still alive and carcasses piled high, the horror of fox farms for fur in Asia

Thousands of foxes and raccoons, all dead and piled up. Heartbreaking footage taken inside a fur farm in Asia once again reveals a chilling reality: animals beaten with metal bars, many skinned alive, in what is an authentic scene from hell.

To reveal the factory of horrors are images and aerial shots captured by Humane society international: dead foxes thrown by the dozen into pits after being slaughtered and skinned for their fur, immense suffering for raccoons huddled on themselves. The investigation was conducted on behalf of HSI of the United Kingdom, which is carrying out the #FurFreeBritain campaign to get to the ban on the sale of furs: the United Kingdom banned fur farming in 2003, but still allows dozens to be imported of millions of kilos of fur every year from foreign companies.

For this investigation, HSI researchers toured 11 randomly selected fur farms in one of the major producing countries in Asia (the organization chose not to disclose the country to protect the investigators' identity). According to international trade data, most of the fur clothing imported into the United States comes from Asian nations, where there are virtually no animal protection laws.

The videos show how foxes are repeatedly beaten over the head, causing very serious injuries and, what is worse, not instant death. And then, cages of bare wire so small that the animals can hardly move and piles of feces left on the floor, dirty and empty bowls of water and no veterinarians.

“This investigation shows the reality of millions of animals being tortured every year for a fur coat, hat or key ring. But consumers no longer accept this cruel reality and instead seek innovative materials that are better for animals and the environment. As more cities, states and countries around the world try to ban fur sales, as California did last year, companies that continue to peddle this suffering will likely be left behind, ”concludes Kitty Block, Humane CEO. Society International.

© HSIL We sincerely hope, dear Kitty, the fact is that there is still too much suffering that men inflict on animals. And, once the brutal news has passed, they go unpunished and resume their cruel work.
