Four lions locked up in a zoo in Sudan are dying of hunger, thirst and disease due to lack of care, food and water

Lions are strongly undernourished and dehydrated as shown by the photos and videos posted on Facebook by the user Osman Salih.
In the images, the four cats, locked up in dirty cages, appear excessively thin, literally skin and bones.
Salih, in spreading the images, he asked for helpor to citizens, associations and institutions so that action is taken as soon as possible to take away the lions and submit them to proper care.
I felines they are in fact suffering from hunger and thirst because of the prolonged shortage of food and water, are seriously ill and risk dying left on their own.
A lioness of the group did not make it and it is died shortly after roll call launched by Salih, despite desperate attempts to save her.

The zoo is in very difficult economic conditions and no longer has funds to take care of these animals, once a symbol of the park.
The #sudananimalrescue hashtag went viral in a few hours: many volunteers and journalists went directly to the zoo to assess the situation in person and several residents mobilized through donations to provide them with the necessary care.
Now we look for a way to to be able to take away the lions from there and move them elsewhere, in a desperate attempt against time to be able to save their lives.
Following the release of the images, an online petition was launched asking the government of Sudan to do something as soon as possible.
Thanks to the tam-tam of the network, it was possible to intervene and, in these hours, the veterinarians are offering first aid to the lions. The hope is that she will be able to save them.
