Ricochet is a surf dog employed to raise awareness of human and animal causes. Caleb had seen his feats on TV and, of all the things Make a Wish could have done for him, he chose to to surf with the dog-surf which promotes "kindness, love, respect, consideration, equality". Judy Fridono, owner of Ricochet, as soon as she learned of her request, said she was immediately honored to help make Caleb's dream come true.
On February 12, 2014, Caleb and Ricochet met in Del Mar Dog Beach, California, where Caleb's wish was fulfilled. For a moment, in between those waves along with Ricochet, Caleb was able to escape the pain and suffering.
