Police save a seal that was in danger of suffocating due to a can stuck in the jaw

In Scotland, a seal was in danger of suffocating due to a can of Red Bull stuck in its mouth. Saved by police officers

For several days or perhaps weeks a poor seal stayed with one can of Red Bull (the famous energy drink) stuck in the mouth, in the lower jaw. After seeing her, her photo had made the rounds of the web through social media. But after being noticed in Belfast, in Ireland the animal had lost its track and many were worried about its fate, as it risked suffocation.

Out the back of my work today. It may look funny but it's really not. The tin can is stuck on its lower jaw. Rescue…

Only a few days ago the seal was found on a manhole near the River Clyde in Scotland.

When they saw her in those conditions, the Scottish police officers immediately intervened to remove the can and free her from that terrible suffering. Following the affair, the Ministry of Defense intervened urging citizens to dispose of waste correctly to prevent such incidents from occurring.

It is truly distressing to see scenes like the one immortalized in Belfast, and we should be reminded of it every time we come across the idea of throwing a garbage away on the street or leaving it on the beach.
