How come? What's going on? Perhaps the world is not yet sufficiently known that Norway has become the leading country for whaling and that in the past two years it has killed more than Iceland and Japan combined.

A new report recently published now calls on the international community to stop whaling in Norway. According to the report by the Animal Welfare Institute, Norway has weakened bans on whaling and is aiming for international growth in trade in whaling products.

Apparently these products play a key role in supporting the Norwegian whaling industry. Shipments pass through European ports en route to Japan.

According to Sandra Altherr, a biologist at ProWildlife, whaling in an advanced country like Norway is a real anachronism and must be stopped. The phenomenon of whaling only serves to detract from the country's international reputation:

“As one of the most modern and prosperous countries in the world, Norway's whaling is an anachronism. The slaughter of whales to eat them and the trade in their products must no longer take place in Norway and only serves to undermine the country's reputation "- he explained. Sandra Altherr.

“We were amazed that a Norwegian whaling company is actively selling health and beauty products made from whale oil. We are no longer in the nineteenth century and it is incomprehensible that such a modern nation produces skin creams from such a cruel sector "- he added Susan Millward, executive director of AWI.

Beauty oils, supplements, and health and beauty products made from captured whales could become a new goldmine for Norway if no one intervenes to say stop whaling.

The tradition of consuming whale meat can be outdated and it is certainly not necessary to kill these animals to obtain beauty products such as skin creams, as there are so many alternatives on the market.
