New Year's Eve fireworks, a real nightmare for our four-legged friends. Fortunately, more and more cities are banning fireworks and annoying barrels guilty of killing about 5000 animals every year.

The last city in order of time to say No to the barrels was Milan. In total, about 800 municipalities have decided to impose this ban by threatening sanctions, but it is a number that is constantly updated.

The mayor of Milan Giuliano Pisapia has banned "fireworks, firecrackers, barrels, rockets and similar pyrotechnic devices" throughout the Municipality until midnight on January 25st. Penalty, fines from 500 to XNUMX euros.

Great absent Rome e Florence, for which it is impossible to monitor balconies, squares and streets of the city, trusting in the good sense of the citizens. Not much optimism about it. In Tuscany, Grosseto has provided for the ban on barrels in the historic center. Also missing Naples even if in Campania the prohibitions are patchy. The mayors of San Giorgio, Portici and Ercolano not only decided to ban the outbreak, but also the sale of firecrackers and fires.

It got better at Venice. The exception is the fireworks display that will illuminate the San Marco Basin at midnight. Even Bologna and Turin have banned fireworks and containers and bottles will not be left on the street.

Cortina d'Ampezzo yes, it has banned the barrels but with other reasons, so as not to disturb the peace of the famous faces guests in the city. Outside the barrels from the historic center of Vicenza for New Year's Eve while in Bari the ban also applies to the days preceding New Year's Eve. Still remaining in Puglia, Brindisi and Foggia also introduced the ban on fireworks and firecrackers, while in Calabria, Cosenza adopted the ban on fireworks from 20:00 on Wednesday 31 December 2014.

No barrels in the squares and meeting areas of La Spezia, absolute ban on fireworks in Brescia with penalties of 130 euros. Also free from fires Cesenatico and Lecco.
