I'm at home that await the return of their owner. But Nathan Cirillo, 24, will never cross that threshold again, even if his dogs, perhaps, have not yet understood it. The boy, in fact, he's been killed from a commando of bombers while serving as a soldier on guard at the National War Memorial in Ottawa.

It was part of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, an infantry reserve unit based near Hamilton. While terror reigns in the capital for new attacks, with schools, offices and embassies under surveillance by anti-terrorism experts, after learning of the death of the young soldier, Fiori, balloons, candles and thank-you cards were placed outside his home in his memory.

To break the nation's heart even more, they are pictures of her dogs peeking out from under the fence of the family home of Cyril to Hamilton. It seems they are awaiting the return of their owner, father of a small child and passionate about dogs. But that man who always loved to laugh will not come back.
