After 20 years Mufasa is finally free. This wonderful puma had been part of a circus Peruvian and was forced to live chained inside a van. Peru has banned the circus with animals and now it's time to take care of them.

Animal Defenders International (ADI) has recently released the video showing the release of Mufasa. Thanks to the work of the animal rights association, the puma has once again experienced the pleasure of walking in a meadow and now lives in a safe place in the Amazon rainforest, always followed by the care of ADI.

It is in fact very important that animals that have lived in captivity for a long time are then monitored on their return to their natural habitat. Now that Mufasa has been released, in Peru there are really no more circuses with animals.

The country had banned animals in circuses as early as 2011 but unfortunately in some cases they continued to be exploited. Here then is that the animal welfare organizations have undertaken to track down the circuses that were violating the rules.

This fantastic puma, who had to face at least twenty years of captivity because of the circus, was able to find the freedom he deserves. How stressed ADI, now Mufasa it is located safely in the Peruvian rainforest.

Jan Creamer, president of ADI, who led the rescue team in Peru, explained that seeing Mufasa chained between circus structures stacked in a van was heartbreaking. The chains trapped the cougar's body and tied it to a heavy trapeze.

Mufasa had been torn from his natural environment for living the worst possible existence inside a circus and now, according to ADI's words, it's fantastic to finally admire him free in the forest. The puma will need treatment and the donations collected by the association will be used to give him a better life.
