Tragic accident on the Forlì motorway: truck overturns and over 3 thousand hens die (destined for slaughter). The survivors are on the run

Da Forlì gruesome news arrives: over 3 thousand hens have tragically died, following the overturning of a truck on the A14 motorway, which transported about 10 thousand animals crammed into small cages. The vehicle overturned yesterday morning near the Bevano service area, after a violent collision with another truck and the tractor ended up in an embankment.
The other surviving hens, about 7 thousand fled to the motorway (blocking traffic) and in the nearby countryside, while the young driver of the truck, of Molise origins, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the Bufalini trauma center in Cesena. The police, the firefighters and Autostrade staff immediately arrived on the spot and then proceeded to regulate the traffic on the two lanes, but circulation was severely slowed down for hours.
The causes of the dramatic accident still remain to be clarified. What is certain is that thousands of poor chickens, crammed into a truck as if they were goods, paid with their lives. We hope that those survivors have managed to escape the sad fate that awaited them: the slaughterhouse.
