Furnish a birdhouse to provide a safe haven. But what happened was surprising and very tender
It looks like a doll's house, in reality it is a simple box transformed into a bird shelter. Inside, everything is studied in detail and the birds can nest, enter and exit as they please.
The idea is from Kate MacRae, an expert and wildlife consultant, who designed this bird house with the aim of helping these cute animals to nest in peace even in the most chaotic cities.
With simple empty boxes and some furniture stolen from the doll's house, she created mini living rooms by inserting a mini camera inside to show what happens inside live.
The houses are located in his garden in Lichfield, Staffordshire and apparently the great tits are very fond of them and they have taken the opportunity to bring in twigs and more to lay the eggs in a comfortable nest.
According to MacRae, the little birds look for safe places even in the city and these little houses allow them to be calm in such a delicate moment. The woman assures that the camera is non-invasive and simply serves to document what is happening inside it on a behavioral and scientific level.
MacRae has been filming the wildlife in his garden for over ten years to study their characteristics and gestures.
“I spent the whole winter planning this box and experimenting with different furnishings by combining wood, cardboard and recycled paper. It took me about two weeks to get the interior right and several days to position the camera perfectly so it wouldn't disturb or take up space for the birds, ”continues McRae.
