#KuKussChallenge, i.e. kiss a cow, is the original challenge launched by the Castl app to German-speaking users. The purpose of this curious initiative is to raise charity funds in a fun way but, as the Austrian authorities warn, the game is stupid and dangerous.

The challenge, apparently nice and harmless, however, it has also drawn several criticisms. It is in Austria in particular that it is causing discussion and local authorities have warned of the dangers of gambling and the risks it entails.

First of all, cattle, although usually docile, are still animals and whoever approaches them to kiss them can be the victim of accidents, even fatal. Most at risk of all are obviously children.

According to the Austrians, then, this initiative can even put the country's economy at risk which is trying in every way to revive tourism, finding a way to make tourism in the Alpine areas and cattle farms coexist, two activities that bring income to mountain areas but which are not always compatible.

Few will know (or remember) that 5 years ago, a German tourist who was crossing a meadow with her dog was killed by a cow. Also following this, the Austrian government issued a "code of good conduct" which prevents citizens and tourists from approaching the cattle of the alpine pastures. It is therefore clear that this challenge, at least in Austria, is not even legally permitted.

Agriculture Minister Elisabeth Köstinger defined the “really stupid and dangerous” challenge. The president of the Tyrolean Chamber of Agriculture shares the same opinion:

“I am very worried that they want to use our animals to make people talk, the risks are high. I invite the site to review its project ".

What do you think: is the game worth the candle?

Without considering the poor cows who certainly do not appreciate being kissed by strangers and moreover belonging to the human race!
