It is not a stuffed animal, but a starved real polar bear

This image you see is not that of a polar bear carnival dress, but it represents a sad truth that is how climate change is one of the causes of the death of the polar bear.

This image you see is not that of a polar bear carnival dress, but it represents one sad truth or how i are one of the causes of the death of the white bear.

Because of the global warming, in fact, the ice is disappearing and the ocean surface is getting smaller and smaller. According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature as well 26 thousand White bear specimens are in danger of extinction by 2050.

Ice is used by the bear to hunt and store fat for hibernation. It happens, however, that already in spring it melts and that the new formation takes place only in late autumn. All this causes a forced fasting which turns bears into undernourished and less healthy animals.

Another problem is related to the premature death of puppies: nursing mothers have not stored enough fat and are unable to feed their young. In Hudson Bay, Canada for each week before the ice melts, bears lose 10 pounds of weight.

Bears are forced to eat dolphins, to live closer and closer to humans and very often ingest plastic.

The images, therefore, of bears swimming in unspoiled nature are increasingly rare also because many toxic substances are concentrated in the Arctic itself due to the meteorological conditions and the currents.
Substances that in the body of bears produce a low concentration of vitamins and antibodies, to this must be added the oil industry which puts the whole Arctic environment, greenhouse gases and the increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere at risk.

These heartbreaking images (taken by Ashley Cooper) that could look like a hoax are going around the world, also shared by Greenpeace International on social media, show the result of all this: a bear that looks like a huge plush toy or an empty Carnival dress.

We had already shown you alarming photos of undernourished bears forced to eat waste due to lack of food and exhausted due to malnutrition.

The good news though is that each of us can do something to prevent the extinction of the polar bear by implementing conscious food choices every day and adopting sustainable lifestyles that reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. The WWF finally launched a subscription: Adopt a polar bear.
