Inseparable: A man with cancer and his dog died an hour later

A faithful dog named Gunner died within an hour of his owner, who died of pancreatic cancer. Since his diagnosis, the Labrador has never left his friend alone.

He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

There are strong ties and then there are indissoluble bonds, such as the friendship that made an air force veteran and his dog named Gunner literally inseparable until his death. The faithful Labrador of Mr. Daniel Hove, in fact, died one hour after the death of the man, suffering from pancreatic cancer.

The diagnosis of the disease had arrived in 2011 and from that moment Gunner has never left his beloved master: he has always been close to him both during chemotherapy sessions and during numerous medical visits. Next to Daniel's bed there was even another bed for the 11-year-old Labrador, who in this way could stay next to him even at night and monitor his health conditions.

The two shared a beautiful friendship until the last moments of their life. There are numerous family photos that portray them together, testifying their extraordinary bond. Many of these shots show Gunner lying on the bed next to Daniel in the last days of his illness.

“They were best friends until the end. They went everywhere together ",

    tells Daniel's daughter, Heather Nicoletti.

Their friendship was so strong that none of the family was surprised when Gunner also began to suffer as Daniel's condition worsened.

“When my father trembled, the dog trembled too. If my father was restless, the dog was restless "

    explains the woman.

Heather admitted that she was relieved that her father didn't have to say goodbye to Gunner and saw him alive next to him moments before he died.
