The images of the skinny bears they are making the rounds of the web causing great indignation among those who fight to defend animal rights. Poor hungry bears are forced to live in a reality that is completely unsuitable for them.
Bears live in overcrowded and too narrow cages. This zoo is certainly not a paradise for animals, on the contrary, it is a real hell and we do not know how, in these conditions, it can still be considered a tourist attraction.

The zoo "hosts" theMalayan bear, also known as the sun bear. It is a bear that mainly inhabits the rainforests of Southeast Asia.
Activists accused the zoo of starving the bears to death. The latest videos shot at the facility show skeletal bears. But zoo representatives denied the evidence, arguing that the bears are being fed enough.
In fact, the inadequate conditions for animals in Indonesian zoos are well known throughout the world for other cases of this type that have occurred previously.

The strongest allegations against the zoo come from the Scorpion Wildlife Trade Monitoring Group which has been monitoring the situation of animals in Bamdung since last year.
Protests are already active on the spot for force the zoo to close. The videos of the starving animals were shot from mid-2016 onwards and show bears wandering among cages with concrete floor as they seem to beg visitors to give them something to eat. And the only thing they get is junk food.

The hygienic conditions of the zoo leave something to be desired, the water is dirty and polluted, there is not even a blade of grass on the ground, as reported by activists to the BBC.
Malaysian bears are very active animals, they need to move and climb, if they remain closed in a cage they completely lose the will to live. In May 2016 a zoo elephant lost its life to unknown causes. The zoo is said to have failed to provide adequate medical care to the animal.
A 2015 dossier showed that only 4 out of 58 zoos in Indonesia guarantee decent conditions for animals. Problems of mismanagement and probably also economic problems are evident, in any case the animals should never be abandoned in this way. The bears in this zoo are in need of care and an Animal Sanctuary could welcome and feed them
