A goose and a Maremma shepherd know each other in the kennel and a wonderful friendship is born between them that overcomes barriers and differences
He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himMario is a goose who was found in an abandoned field, undernourished and dirty, while Gwen is a Maremma female arrived from Abruzzo, probably after being discarded by a shepherd.
Both were rescued by the Avezzano ENPA and taken to the Monza kennel, where they met.
Gwen and Mario they should have lived in different contexts, together with their own kind, but Mario was not accepted by the other geese and so he preferred to join the group of dogs housed in the structure.
From that moment a special friendship was born between Mario and Gwen and the two are become inseparable, despite belonging to two different and very different species.
To tell their incredible story is the ENPA Kennel in Monza, which writes on its Facebook wall:
“Gwen can't move a paw without loyal Mario's beak peeking out right behind her. They sleep together and it is not uncommon to see exchanges of tenderness between the two.
Mario, then, seems to have forgotten that he is a goose and has begun to behave like a dog, coming to guard with the Maremma people so much that, when they bark, he cackles ".

A truly unique friendship which is making a lot of talk about itself and which confirms, as the president of ENPA Monza underlines, that diversity is not a limit, but a wealth.
