After the first reports, the municipal administration activated with some municipal police patrols to intercept him and try to free him from the object twisted around his neck, which made him look like women of the Kayan ethnic group, Tibetan-Burmese-speaking minority known for their typical neck rings that cause physical changes to the body.
In reality, the episode has little to do with this custom, which made Kayan women famous as "giraffe" women: for them, in fact, neck rings are a voluntary decision, while the poor dog had no choice and was forced by some fool to live with his throat forced into a vice from which he could not free himself.
Rather suspicious, as it is easy to imagine, the stray did not allow itself to be approached in the first attempts to approach and always ran away. But, fortunately, after the appeal of the mayor of Bagheria, Vincenzo Lo Meo, in which citizens were invited to contact the municipal police in case of sighting, the dog was found and released from the spring around his neck. For this, the mayor thanked in one note the forces of the Municipal Police, the operators of the ASVA and the ASP, hoping that these episodes never repeat again.
