On a cold January night in Rostov, in Russia, Nina Baranovska saw little Shavi for the first time. Some of her friends who had found her lying in a landfill brought her to her. She passed off as dead, she was shivering from the cold and had two broken paws. It looked like she had been hit by a car so much that she was covered in bruises and lacerations. So immediately Nina and her friends wrapped her in a warm blanket and took her to a vet: metal screws in the paws and so much hope that one day the little dog would walk again.

Nina thus took care of Shavi, in her house already crowded with two other adopted dogs and three cats (in addition to her mother and daughter!). Although she would have liked it, after six months the girl had to decide to give Shavi to other friends, not only for the modest space in her house, but also for the not exactly comfortable salary.
