He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himThe Spanish Civil Guard carried out a check in one stables of Melide, in Galicia, discovering a terrifying situation.
The agents of the nature protection service (Seprona) has indeed found the corpses of seven horses and 22 severely undernourished specimens. The horses probably died of starvation and lack of basic medical care.
The animals still alive were agonizing, crammed into small spaces, in poor hygienic conditions.
After the inspection, the agents have requested the intervention of the veterinary service of the Ministry of Rural Affairs, to assess the health of horses and offer them the necessary care.
The surviving horses were seized and the investigation into this new case of animal maltreatment went to the court of Arzúa.
This isn't the first time the owner of the stable of horrors has been investigated for animal abuse.
Already last year the man was charged following another inspection by the Civil Guard, during which the bodies of six horses and two dogs were found. The bodies of the animals were in an advanced state of decomposition, a sign that they had been left there for a long time.
It was precisely these previous cases that motivated Seprona to carry out constant monitoring of the structure. When the agents observed signs of the possible presence of suffering and dead animals they decided to intervene, discovering the dramatic situation inside the stable.
