Tilda is a brave cow and a bit lucky too. She managed to escape her slaughter by escaping the truck that was taking her straight to her death. Thanks to this intrepid gesture of her, the authorities have decided to "pardon her".
The cow you see in the photo was unfortunately destined, like many others, to be slaughtered to make meat. She was in Switzerland on a truck that was about to unload her right in front of the slaughterhouse.
The will to live by Tilda ("the fighter“, As the cow was called after the escape), however, was stronger than the fear of jumping off the truck in which it was. The animal, panicked probably imagining its fate, leapt and freed itself, in front of a group of people who documented its flight between roads and fields.
It is not even known with certainty how she succeeded in this enterprise but the fact is that she ran away. Obviously the animal was captured shortly after, but no one expected that the head of the slaughterhouse and his staff, happy for the cow, would decide to "pardon" her for her courage.
The prize he has received is undoubtedly the most precious: life. The animal was in fact entrusted to a sanctuary located in the Swiss mountains called Villa Kuhnterbunt. Here he will have the great fortune of being able to graze free and live without having the days numbered before arriving at the slaughterhouse.
In short, Tilda will spend the rest of her happy life in a place of peace and will have the opportunity to die of old age. The same luck should befall all the other cows but unfortunately we are still a long way from reaching such a milestone.
