Calf born with 3 eyes in India, people flock to worship him as the god Shiva

In India hundreds of inhabitants go in procession to worship a calf born with 3 eyes, considered the reincarnated god Shiva

He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

Within days, the home of a young Indian farmer named Hemant Chandel became something of a pilgrimage destination for hundreds of Indians. The reason? Last week one of his cows gave birth to a calf. Nothing strange so far, but the animal in question was born with three eyes and four nostrils and his birth took place on the same day that Makar Sankranti, the festival of the sun and the harvest, is celebrated in various Asian countries.

A coincidence that has not gone unnoticed and has led many people to believe that the newborn calf is nothing more than a reincarnation of the god Shiva, represented with three eyes and four lobes.

The calf has an extra eye in the center of the forehead and also four nostrils. Its tail looks like a "jata" (a bunch of matted hair) and its tongue is also longer than other calves - explained Hermant. - As soon as he was born I immediately thought that the third eyelid on his forehead was a wound.

"We were surprised. Its nose has four holes instead of two & has 3 eyes. Medical screening has been done. She is healthy. Villagers are worshipping the calf," said Neeraj (16.01) pic.twitter.com/NrG2b8LNXt

So since last Friday, in front of Hemant's house - in the state of Chhattisgarh - a procession has been going on. Many people who came from different Indian villages want to see and worship the calf with three eyes, as confirmed by the photos that appeared on social media and published in local newspapers and news agencies:

The poor animal was inundated with coins, garlands of flowers and coconuts, brought by the inhabitants as a tribute.

The calf is affected by a rare genetic malformation

But why does the calf look so bizarre? As can be understood, the presence of three eyes and four nostrils is linked to a rare genetic malformation.

It is caused by a hormonal disorder - Dr. Tarun Ramteke of the Department of Livestock clarified to the microphones of the ANI news agency. - In these cases, the animal does not survive for long. Some specimens live for two years, or six months, while others only last 10-15 days.

In short, the calf will certainly need veterinary care and its health could deteriorate at any moment and the people who flock to worship it are only a source of further stress for the animal. It would really take a miracle to make it live for a long time ...
