The black red bug is absolutely harmless to both humans and plants. If you still want to get rid of these little insects, you can carefully pick them up with a broom and set them aside in a dry, sunny place.
They have an elongated-oval and slightly flattened body, have long antennae and shortened wings that prevent them from flying; in fact, only a few specimens are able to fly, and they are mostly males.
