Dying of bees, the phenomenon is unfortunately growing all over the world. Technology comes to the aid of researchers to investigate the causes of the disappearance of api. Here are some special backpacks that we hope will be useful for this purpose.

A new international study has decided to use special sensors developed by the national research body Csiro per solve the "mystery" of the honey bee death which tend more and more to disappear from hives. At the moment the biggest suspects for the decline of bees are the neonicotinoid pesticides, widely used in agriculture around the world.

The sensors were applied to bees in the form of technological backpacks. The study involves 10 healthy bees in different countries of the world. The technological backpacks contain microchips that send information to receivers located in the hives.

The tech backpacks are very light so that bees have no problem carrying them. They allow to record the distances traveled by bees when they go outside the hive and how long they stay in the external environment.

It does not end here. These sensors are especially important because they are capable of record the exposure of bees to pesticides. In this way it may be easier to understand which substances used in agriculture are really causing the death of bees.

The sensors also record theair pollution and the pollution of the waters, the meteorological conditions and the feeding modalities of the bees. The project is part of the Global Initiative for Honeybee Health and will allow scientists from all over the world what are the factors that are threatening bees so far irremediable.
