"The abandonment of dogs and cats, before the summer holidays, is certainly a sign of incivility but it is favored byabsence of services and hospitality in holiday resorts, despite the blue flags or environmental certifications which many coastal municipalities now boast ”, explains Enpa. Hence the proposal drawn up by the ENPA Volunteers, which it envisages a strip of at least 10-15 meters of shoreline, with a pallet dispenser and container for the collection of manure, display for the posting of the beach regulations and water tap.
The beaches would go to join the 5 municipal ones, in Ceriale, Finale Ligure, Pietra Ligure (2) and Noli, and at 6 private, in Loano (3), Laigueglia, Alassio and Albissola Mare. In Albenga and Andora, on the other hand, it is hoped already this summer, two factories planned by the respective municipal administrations should open. But it is in Savona, due to the high number of dogs, that a pet-friendly beach would be particularly necessary. Also because the dog on the beach also keeps bacteria away!
Waiting for the summer, all that remains is to cross your fingers, while the local Enpa, in parallel, continues to propose the modification of the prohibition of access to dogs in many areas and businesses in the city of the Riviera: green areas, public gardens, bars and restaurants. But also post offices, such as the one in Loano, where a customer with a dog, after having queued at the counter without creating inconvenience to other customers, would have been turned away by a particularly nervous employee.
