AAA, volunteers are sought to protect the Marsican brown bear

WWF is looking for volunteers who are willing to give some of their time to carry out practical actions in favor of the Marsican brown bear

If you love Nature and the safety of the Marsican Brown Bear is close to your heart, WWF is looking for volunteers who are willing to give some of their time to carry out practical actions in favor of the species.

Among the candidates, those who will be selected will deal with conservation, information and awareness raising activities. In fact, to conserve the Marsican bear it is also essential to spread the right knowledge about the species and the correct behaviors that we must have in its areas of presence, to avoid any form of disturbance that could compromise the efforts put in place.

All this is possible only thanks to the tireless work and the availability of many volunteers, who freely decide to make a little of their time available to the Bear and nature. Everyone can participate in the initiatives and make a contribution to win the challenge of preserving the species.

The operational base of the campaign will be the Regional Nature Reserve and WWF Oasis "Gole del Sagittario", an area with a stable presence of the Marsican brown bear and which for years has been experimenting with good practices of coexistence with the large carnivore. But the actions will also be implemented outside the protected area, in particular along the corridors connecting the Parks and Reserves of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, essential to guarantee a future for the rarest bear in Europe.
