A man finds 15.000 bees in his car after shopping

In Las Cruces, New Mexico (USA), a man returned to his car after shopping but was surprised to find it covered in a swarm of 15.000 bees.

As is known, in spring it is possible to come across swarms of bees struggling with the so-called swarming, a phenomenon that occurs when it is time to form new colonies and insects, with a young queen, look for a welcoming place to build their hive. .

Traveling bees can also choose some unusual place as a temporary refuge, such as a car, for example.

This is what happened to a man in New Mexico who, having entered a supermarket for a short time to do his shopping, on his return found himself faced with an unusual scene and a not insignificant problem: a swarm of 15 thousand bees had placed on his car.

The news was made known by the Las Cruces firefighters, who posted their speech, complete with photos, on the department's Facebook page.

The owner of the car, of course, had immediately asked for help and, from among the firefighters, Times Jesse Johnson was chosen for this type of intervention who, although off duty, was the perfect person to look after the bees without harming them, given who in his spare time is a beekeeper.

Firefighter photos show bees swarming around the car as Johnson loads them into hives after nearly two hours of work. The colony now lives on its property.

As the expert recalled, bees are generally harmless if they are not disturbed and he also pointed out that, had he not intervened, they would still have moved to a new location in a few hours or days. Obviously the owner of the car couldn't wait that long.
