Is it possible to sum up 30 years in one song? Yes, or at least that's what the singer-songwriter Lorenzo Baglioni tried to do with a piece that echoes with nostalgia for the fantastic 90s and for all those who, having more than 30 years today, remember those moments that marked their adolescence and that of many of their peers, companions in football matches or unforgettable adventures.
Those of the 90s (feat. I Trentenni) is a piece that traces all those events, those moments that made those years.
And so, in a box full of priceless memories, tapes and videotapes with the hits of the Festivalbar follow one another, images of the endless summer holidays, school memories, diaries, the crystal ball, the Tamagotchi and the first cd players.
A nostalgia with a capital N mixed with a bit of melancholy, as Lorenzo himself explains, thinking back to that simple and carefree period that will never come back, but which lives on in all those who grew up in those years.
But how beautiful were the 90s ?! I often ask myself. When you are over 30 I think that for almost everyone one of the most bittersweet and complex feelings we can experience begins to be felt: nostalgia. How beautiful is it to relive past sensations, to be transported back in time by smells that you had forgotten, to see faces again, to remember moments, places, first times? Much. Very, very much.
Every now and then I close my eyes and think back to a July afternoon spent playing football with a Tango worn out by the hot asphalt, trying to score a goal in a door made between a parked Fiat Uno and a Renault 4, with my father calling me from the terrace with a whistle when dinner is ready.
