This pit bull named Zeus saved two children from a poisonous snake but sacrificed his own life, as he died soon after.

He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

If it weren't for that pitbull named Zeus, the Richardson family allegedly lost their children. A coral snake in fact, he approached the children while they were away from home, in Sumter County, intent on cleaning Zeus's water dish.

Meanwhile, the snake reached them without even noticing it, but luckily Zeus immediately noticed his presence and attacked him. Unfortunately during the fight was bitten and began to feel unwell.

Family members immediately took him to Ocala's vet, initially convinced that he would recover, but there was nothing they could do and the next day Zeus is dead.

For Gina Richardson she was a real member of the family, as reported by Fox10 Phoenix, and this loss has terribly shaken both her and her husband and two children, safe thanks to the four-legged friend.

Gary Richardson said he has never known faithful dogs such as pit bulls while Gina points out that their aggression depends not on temperament but in most cases on how they have been treated or raised:

"If you treat them right, they would give their life for you and I owe them my son's life."
