Not the first time Usman Dalhatu impresses with his inventions, he had previously created a low-cost mechanical ventilator for coronavirus patients.

Usman Dalhatu is a young Nigerian engineer and inventor who recently unveiled his futuristic solar-powered street food kiosk. In addition to the kitchen, the innovative creation has several food storage compartments and even a TV screen to allow customers to enjoy themselves while waiting for their order, all rigorously powered by this sustainable energy source.

The idea had been coming to him for some years, but for lack of money he was unable to develop it. After saving, he invested his money in the construction of the kiosk for street food, thus finally managing to see his idea concretized and ready to be used by street vendors. Even the choice of color was not accidental, in fact according to him it is impossible for passers-by not to stop and look at “his big yellow kitchen”.

The intention of the engineer is to help the street food sellers of the country by reducing their costs and making sure that they can carry out their activities with a lower environmental impact, exploiting a resource that is certainly not lacking in the country: the Sun.

This was his second invention designed to contribute and improve the lives of people in vulnerable situations. The first was a portable mechanical fan for Covid-19 patients, made with the help and funding of the Nigerian government. Hoping that the latter will also receive the same support from the government, for now several organizations have already shown interest in this innovative kiosk.
