Stacy escaped from a slaughterhouse and can now live happily in a herd at a sanctuary that has adopted her.
Two weeks ago, one young cow only nine months old managed to escape from a slaughterhouse of Queens.
Stacy was captured not without difficulty but, instead of being sent back to the slaughterhouse, she was sent to the Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue Center for quarantine.

While waiting for the results of the analyzes on her health, little Stacy has settled into hers new life and, after the quarantine, yesterday she was placed in a group with other animals.
Stacy now lives happily with 93 other cattle in the sanctuary that she is quickly making friends with.

Unlike so many other far less fortunate animals, Stacy will be able to live in a herd, build friendships and relationships, play, relax and be treated with the respect that every living being deserves.
