Banana peels lend themselves to many uses and can also be eaten, as the recipe for anti-waste banana bread taught us. A great alternative, if you prefer not to consume them, is to make a nutrient-rich fertilizer that can then be used to water the plants that need it most.
A very simple banana peel fertilizer recipe was shown in a video, which went viral, by TikTok user Armen Adamjan. How is it prepared? Just dip the chopped banana peel in water and leave it to soak for at least an hour.
In this way, all the nutrients present in the skins (think of potassium, phosphorus, calcium and magnesium) will have enough time to transfer to the water which, as you can see, will change color. After filtering everything, the solution obtained directly on the plants is used.
