Wind power: turbines do not cause damage to health

Wind turbines would not be held responsible for any damage or risk to our health. This is what emerges from the results of a study sponsored in Massachusetts by the State Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Public Health. Wind turbines would not be held responsible for any damage or risk to our health. This is what emerges from the results of a study promoted in Massachusetts by the State Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Public Health. In fact, the experts would not have found clear evidence that the noises and vibrations caused by the turbines could be there direct cause ailments such as anxiety, depression, nausea and dizziness.

This is an independent study that demonstrates that there is currently insufficient epidemiological evidence to demonstrate that the aforementioned disturbances can be attributed to a direct influence on our organism of the presence of wind turbines on the territory in which we live. Indeed, thanks to the use of renewable energies, such as wind power, it would help protect us from the pollution caused by plants used for the production of energy according to the most usual methods up to now.

The need on the part of experts to deepen the subject arose from the perspective of a major diffusion of wind power in the territory of the state of Massachusetts and in order to fully protect the well-being and health of the population present in the portions of the territory that will be most affected by the installation of new turbines. The researches have particularly focused on the possible influence of the vibrations caused by the same on ours vestibular apparatus, responsible for regulating balance. In the current state of scientific knowledge, there would not be sufficient evidence to link the causes and effects examined.

Nor are disturbances such as stress, high blood pressure, diabetes, migraines and cardiovascular problems to be attributed to the vibrations or noise coming from the turbines. According to experts, it would therefore be inappropriate to talk about one that has already been hypothesized "Wind turbine syndrome", of which many people who habitually reside near areas destined for the exploitation of the wind for energy production.

Some perplexity however, they derive from what reported by The Boston Globe magazine, according to which the results reported by the heads of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection are the result of the examination of existing studies and not of new research conducted directly on the population. In particular, the pediatrician Nina Pierpont he would have pointed out, after having carried out numerous interviews with families residing in the vicinity of wind farms, how some subjects may be more sensitive than others to the presence of turbines, whose presence could significantly affect the quality of sleep.

In Massachusetts, a clear dividing line is evident between supporters and opponents of theAeolian and the issue will certainly continue to be discussed over the next few weeks. The hope is that, if in the future health damage is actually attributable to the turbines still in production, the tech can act in such a way as to propose new prototypes capable of canceling the alleged negative effects of the same on our organism.
