Some of his smaller works are collected at the Powerhouse museum di Sidney, inside which it is possible to admire one of the collections signed by the artist. From 1949 to 1960 he made frequent trips to Central Australia to live in close contact with the aboriginal populations belonging to the ethnic groups Aranda e Pitjantjatjara, whose traditions and culture were the main sources of inspiration for the sculptures he would make.
The sculptures favor subjects such as men, women and children and appear perfectly in tune with the surrounding landscape, being often placed in the same vicinity of the trees.
