Whoopi Goldberg and the beautiful animated short about the environment that everyone should see

The Gigantic Change, an animated short that tells a story we know: a planet that is about to collapse due to man but that can still be saved

He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

Can we still save the earth and ourselves? The answer is yes, as long as we all work together with a common goal. This is the sense of The Gigantic Change, a cartoon that tells a story in which the world is devastated by man but whose ending can still be changed.

The Gigantic Change è a story of hope set in the future, which goes back to the moment when the world came together to try to save the environment. Telling the story in 2050 is a grandmother (voiced by Whoopi Goldberg) who tells her granddaughter how the planet was once about to die due to man's greed and reckless actions.

It is therefore the unmistakable voice of Whoopi Goldberg to sound the alarm for our planet. The Oscar-winning actress willingly lent herself to this role, siding with environmentalists with the aim of sending a loud and clear message: it's time to do something, it's time to change!

Factories, pollution, plastic everywhere, loss of habitat for many animals, global warming (with glaciers that melt, forests that burn, hurricanes, etc.), and much more, risked, says the grandmother, to collapse the planet. A reconstruction that we, in 2020, know very well, given that we have arrived at this point which, however, fortunately, is not yet a point of no return.

The short cartoon, made by Extinction Rebellion and Passion Pictures, shows that in reality we still have time to live a brighter future in harmony with nature, if only we stop acting as masters. However, we will only arrive at this splendid result on condition of all work together to help the planet.

The change, not surprisingly, is entrusted in the cartoon to the voice of the little girl, voiced by Livia Nelson, who tells everything that has been done to avoid the worst.

But the little girl finally asks her grandmother: have people really tried to do these things? The answer is… we hope so!

The time to act is now: in this way, what is currently only a hope can be made real.  For this reason, on thegiganticchange.com website, in addition to the possibility of seeing the cartoon, a series of important actions are suggested that we should all follow and put into practice to implement a change right away.

What awaits us if we don't? In 2050 there will be one billion displaced people in the world and the loss of about half of the animal species, or even, according to a new study, the human race could become extinct.

New report suggests humanity could become extinct in 2050
