Without refrigeration, many farmers lose some of their produce within a day or two of harvesting. Wakati extends the life of products significantly, without the need for a refrigerator, so farmers can sell goods intact and consumers can enjoy the benefits of eating fresh fruit and vegetables.
The products are protected from the growth of fungi and last longer, reducing food waste and increasing the potential profits for the peasants.
