For the summer of 2022 there are many projects that allow aspiring volunteers to work in full contact with nature, lending a hand to associations and centers for the protection of the environment and animals. One of these projects takes place on the beautiful island of Cyprus and more precisely in the Karpaz nature reserve, located to the north, on whose beaches they nest sea turtles Chelonia mydas or green turtles.

The Cyprus Marinelife Center therefore seeks willingness, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Oğuz Türkozan, to participate in the conservation project of the species throughout the summer.

Volunteers will have to patrolling the beaches day and night, watching over the hatching of the nests of green turtles, protecting the areas from external dangers. They will also participate in the collection of data, collaborating with scientific researchers and sensitizing the local population and tourists on the risk of extinction that has always threatened these living beings.

Here are all the essential information to apply and the form to fill out to apply for this wonderful project for the protection of the marine fauna of Cyprus. Last year, many joined this initiative
