    A group of vandals has targeted the animal cemetery of Alexandria and has been devastating this resting place for a month.

    A group of vandals, whose identity is still unknown, seems to have targeted this place where the four-legged friends of many people rest. It is difficult to understand what could lead to rage against an animal cemetery, yet volunteers have long been struggling with thefts and vandalism of all typeso.

    “It is not easy to find the words to write this post: the cemetery of animals has been at the mercy of obviously nameless vandals for a month. They started by stealing the tombstone in memory of our beloved Danilo to continue their path of vandalism by destroying graves for no reason ”, reads a post on the Facebook group of Danilo Rivera's boys.

    Volunteers and those who buried dogs, cats and other pets there are committed to daily fix and rebuild what the vandals destroy and, in the meantime, the guilty of these senseless acts are sought.

    "They are cowards, we have already started the complaints - said the municipal councilor for public works, Giovanni Barosini - my affectionate thoughts are addressed to all the volunteers who have always looked after this 'sacred' place with great love and dedication all those who, in this community, over many years have buried their beloved animal.
