In the United States the electronic cigarettes are under indictment, they would have caused already 6 dead and President Trump is seriously worried, so much so that he has decided to to forbid those flavored, as he announced to the press in the Oval Office of the White House, where he was joined by the secretary of health Alex Azar.

During the meeting with reporters, Alex Azar announced that new restrictive measures will be activated to stem the problem and added that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will ban the sale of all flavorings for electronic cigarettes in the short term.

Meanwhile, Melania Trump, in a tweet, declared that she was concerned above all for the very young people who are increasingly attracted to the use of this type of cigarettes.

I am deeply concerned about the growing epidemic of e-cigarette use in our children. We need to do all we can to protect the public from tobacco-related disease and death, and prevent e-cigarettes from becoming an on-ramp to nicotine addiction for a generation of youth. @HHSGov

After the first death that had raised perplexity, the other 5 registered in California, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota and Oregon, would have been caused, according to the President, by lung diseases probably related to the use of flavored cigarettes, very common diseases in the USA, with at least 450 cases already reported, on which the US Department of Public Health is investigating.

There is even talk of an epidemic even if the causes of lung disease remain mysterious at the moment, as declared by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC. In the meantime, San Francisco has banned e-cigs and Michigan has also decided to ban most of e-cigarettes.

For Europe, the National Association of Electronic Smoke Manufacturers, ANAFE, stated that the situation is very different from the US because here the safety and compliance tests of electronic cigarettes and the liquids used are much more scrupulous. The important thing is to buy them only in authorized centers.
