    He was used to traveling and exploring the world of Ashes, a cat 3-year-old gray who always accompanied his friend Matthew in his travels aboard a truck. Until, one day, yes he is lost accidentally in a parking lot, where the two had stopped. Matthew searched and searched for him but no trace of him.





    Then, in that same parking lot, months later, Kimberly T. arrived, moving from the West Coast to the Rochester, New York area. Stopping at Love's Travel Stop in Ohio, she spotted a cold gray cat before getting back in the car. She took pity, she tried to figure out if she belonged to someone nearby, but not having found anyone, she loaded him into the car wrapping him in a warm blanket. She then left for Rochester, intending to reach Lollypop Farm, where she would surely find help.

    Once there, the team discovered that Ashes had a microchip and that the owner had registered it with a Texas address over 1.465 miles away. The latter was then contacted and discovering why, he did not hold back the tears of joy, incredulous at those words that he had been waiting for for a long time.

    Matthew, who was in Arkansas at the time of the discovery, then reorganized his travel schedule and headed to New York as soon as possible.

    “It's my Christmas miracle,” she said when she saw her feline friend again crying with joy.

    Meanwhile the Lost and Found team handed Ashes a brand new tag, collar and harness from the Lollypop Farm Gift Shop while Matthew thanked everyone for taking care of his cat, stressing the importance of the microchip. without which he would never have found him again:


    “It's that microchip - without it, I would never have recovered it. If you love your pet, you just have to chip it. The women who found him saved his life, but the microchip brought him home. "
