And there is, then, who of the tree houses has decided to make a whole complex of them, A kind of village suspended in the middle of a forest. Just like that of the wooded moon of Endor inhabited by the Ewok, the fictional characters belonging to the sci-fi universe of Star Wars.
It is called “Treesort”, this village made up of 9 tree houses, for an Bed & Breakfast built in the branches of the Oregon forests (United States). It is the result of the work of the builder and carpenter Michael Garnier, who in turn lives with his wife in a huge tree house in ben 550 square meters. Garnier, as he explains in the video in which he takes us on tour "in the largest complex of tree houses in the world", wanted to offer his customers the opportunity to a very special stay, without giving up the comforts of a perfect holiday. Or almost, given some small, but necessary, limitations, such as the absence of TV, telephone and air conditioners or the inability to receive animals.
The house “The Suite”, for example, available for $ 250 a night in high season and designed to accommodate 4 or more people, has a double bedroom, a sofa, a mezzanine with two single beds, a kitchenette with a fridge, a microwave oven, a coffee maker, a dining table with chairs and a bathroom with a bathtub.
But there are, among the many houses of the structure, also the Swiss Family, built on two different floors, the Peacock Perch, suitable for young couples or the Cavaltree, which includes two houses in one structure.
Our favorites, however, are those placed at prohibitive heights, such as Treezebo,Pleasantree and Forestree, all approx 11 meters high or more. To reach them, in fact, it is necessary to take a prohibitive and adventurous path made of stairs and rope bridges. But the fatigue reward it is lavish: you can reach a virgin place where you can listen to the silent breath of the centuries-old trees.
