The Ministry of Health has ordered the call of the black eyed peas under the Nuova Terra brand, I Frutti della Terra.

The recall coincided with Carrefour supermarkets and became necessary as the beans contained pesticide residues beyond the limits permitted by law.

The packages recalled are identifiable from lot number L0523419 expiring 28/02/2021. It's about the packaging of 500 grams, produced by Le Bontà Srl in the factory in Campi di Bisenzio, in the province of Florence.

The Ministry and the manufacturing company recommend not to consume the beans and to return any packages in one's possession to the points of sale.
