This vet has spent the past 9 years wandering the streets to treat homeless animals for free

The vet who goes out on the street to treat the animals of the homeless for free, often paying for the care out of his own pocket.

He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

Kwane Stewar is a veterinarian US that visit the animals of the homeless for free in his free time. Always in love with animals, which is why he chose to be a veterinarian, he would never have imagined, however, exercising his vocation in such a unique way, going directly in search of animals on the streets.

Originally from New Mexico, he is 49, and wanders the streets of California, where he also has a clinic, looking for the homeless, telling what he does on his Facebook page, where he writes:

"The people I met and the pets I took care of left me with great emotions and I hope I have given them some confidence in the goodness of people."

I really ❤️ this saying. The people I’ve met and the pets I’ve treated have all left an impression on me…and I hope…

Before becoming a veterinarian, Kwane ran an animal hospital for Stanislaus County in Modesto, but in 2007, following the economic crisis that hit the country and the increasing abandonment of pets in shelters, he realized he had to make plus, as he explained to CNN:

“That was the moment for me in terms of an enlightening career. Up until then, I had been practicing top-notch medicines for clients who could pay for everything. But suddenly I was thrown into this economic war and people couldn't even afford to help their pets. "

I recently met this lady and her three “babies” as she calls them on a street corner near downtown LA. She’s been living here for 10 months after her clothing store burned in a fire and she lost her source of income. Her dogs Egyptian, Lucas, Tra (a mommy and daddy chihuahua and their daughter) are her biggest reason “for not giving up”. We vaccinated, administered flea treatment, gave some leashes /collars and a little love. She in turn gave her gratitude and some inspiration. It was a perfect trade. We wish her (and her babies) a better future…#thestreetvet #streetwork #vetlife? #vettechlife?#petsmatter

If at first he began to welcome animals of poor people in his clinic offering more affordable costs, later he decided to go and look for them directly on the street.

What it currently does is pay for vaccinations, medicines and food for animals in need out of its own pocket and launch fundraisers on GoFundMe to raise what is needed for serious illnesses that require more expensive treatment. A true hero!
