Eris, named in honor of the Greek goddess of strife and strife, was adopted in July 2018 by a jewelry owner named Lily Kambourian along with her partner Savannah.
“Eris was born to a litter of three little dogs in Keysville, Virginia. When we went to visit the puppies, it was evident that they would have a notable snout. This peculiarity would have excluded it from any beauty contest for dogs since it is a genetic defect. But that didn't bother us. She came to us and she sat on my girlfriend's lap "

“We often stop when we walk with Eris because most people try to figure out what race she is. We were advised when she was a puppy that she may have dental problems. But she has grown up and there have been no problems caused by her long snout, apart from the fact that she drops the food all over the place but then I do too. "

“She's so happy to meet people and other dogs, but she can get very naughty with small dogs. She gets grumpy sometimes but she is so good and lovely. In fact, the Borzoi are quite quiet. I don't think we really heard her bark. Eris is very good at sticking her muzzle in very small spaces between sofas, fences or people who are enjoying a lunch seated at a table, so surely her long muzzle can prove to be advantageous ".
