Marley's is a story of a heroic dog who risked his life defending his beloved owner from a dangerous rattlesnake who was about to enter the house. The story, which took place in California, went around the world. To shield his human friend, the Labrador reported two snake bites, but for the big dog it was worth it, since - thanks to his courage - his owner is safe.

I was opening the front door and Marley was right behind me when suddenly I heard a rattle on my left - says Alex, the owner of Marley - Marley's instant reaction was to step between the rattlesnake and myself. At this point the rattlesnake was furious and Marley tried to grab the rattlesnake, which immediately bit him on the tongue and neck. It all happened so fast. I was able to grab Marley and take him inside after the bites. There was blood everywhere and Marley just collapsed to the floor, crying in pain. I panicked and took him to the nearest vet who was five miles away.

Unfortunately, however, they did not have the antidote Marley needed in the clinic. Thus began a race against time to save the brave big dog. In fact, the injuries reported had caused Marley severe swelling and breathing difficulties. After arriving at a hospital which was about 40 km away, Alex was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief: thanks to the antidote Marley recovered quickly and is now well.

“My heart was pounding and I didn't know what would happen next. To be completely honest, I thought he was going to die in the car, ”says Alex.
