The two things you should do every morning on an empty stomach to detoxify starting from the mouth

From Ayurveda, here are two simple daily gestures that we should do every morning to help the body expel waste and bacteria from the mouth, beyond common oral hygiene

He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

THEoil pulling it's a'ancient Ayurvedic technique useful to keep the oral cavity in good health but above all to eliminate all those bacteria that, during the night, go to deposit on the tongue and teeth.

This happens because during sleep our body implements all its detoxification mechanisms thus trying to eliminate waste substances from the metabolism and bacteria, rejecting them in external areas of the body (such as the mouth) in such a way as to be able to expel them more easily. upon awakening.

That is why it is very important, every morning, first of all, to do one thorough cleaning of the mouth, following 2 simple steps:

    1.  First of all as soon as you wake up you have to clean the tongue with the tongue cleaner as already explained in this article (alternatively you can use a spoon).
    2. At this point you can proceed to the real oil pulling which consists in pour a spoonful of sesame or coconut oil into your mouth, passing it carefully between the teeth, on the gums, on the tongue and in general in all areas of the oral cavity for a few minutes (10-15) before spitting it out.

This practice makes sure that all accumulated toxins and bacteria can be collected from the oil and then permanently expelled from the body. The advantages are obvious and concern several fronts:

    • it prevents bad breath and diseases due to the proliferation of harmful bacteria in our body,
    • it helps detoxification from heavy metals (these are also deposited in the mouth at night)
    •  si strengthen teeth and gumsand, thanks to the substances present in the recommended oils,

Important though use organic and cold-pressed oils that once opened they must be kept in the fridge in order to better preserve their properties, using substandard oils could mean not seeing most of the advantages that oil pulling offers.

Those who have tried these techniques have actually confirmed the benefits, especially on the bleeding of the gums (which diminishes or almost completely disappears), on the breath, on the teeth that appear whiter and healthier and on the general well-being of the mouth.

Science is also asking questions about these Ayurvedic treatments: these are still limited studies which for the moment are confirming the advantages. Since the contraindications are minimal, it costs nothing to try! (Read also: Oil pulling: a practice with an ancient tradition, but what does science think?)
