UPDATE OF 1 MARCH 2016: the paintings made by little Iris have been around the world and have been bought by some famous collectors. Among the generous buyers also the actress Angelina Jolie.
"For the first time our family took a trip abroad, to Stockholm, a remarkable result for a little girl who was once isolated at home and unable to talk or be with others" says the mother who decided to tell their story in the book Iris Grace.
A volume that brought together three artists, a painter, a photographer and an illustrator for a total of 42 beautiful paintings, 15 illustrations and numerous photos. Through words and images one is transported into the world of Iris world with the help of Thula.

Now talking, reading and enjoying his home education is a different story. I decided to tell our story in our first book 'Iris Grace'. 3 artists came together, the painter, the photographer and the illustrator, through the words and images that will be transported to Iris world with the help of Thula, their trusted assistant feline artist. 42 beautiful paintings, 15 illustrations and lots of photos make it a memorable book of extraordinary treasure forever.
Thula is a beautiful cat almost one year old of the Maine Coon breed. She has a gentle and meek character and has contributed, more or less unconsciously, to lowering little Iris's daily anxieties. Thula keeps her calmer, says her mother, Arabella Carter-Johnson, and encourages her to be a little more sociable and talk more about her.
What is autism? The international scientific community defines it as a disorder that affects the brain function and which provides for the person affected by the disease serious difficulties in social integration and communication with the outside world. The increased risk of autism has recently been linked to the serious problem of pollution, with particular reference to nitrogen dioxide and fine particles, but also to pesticides, herbicides and potentially toxic chemicals. Over the last few years, the hypothesis of a link between the onset of autism and compulsory vaccinations has also been advanced.
After the diagnosis, the parents looked for activities through which the child could express herself effectively. Thus they discovered his artistic talent. And always to help her they thought that a pet could make her feel better. After a long search, they arrived in Thula. This is how this was born from February 2014 new and deep friendship. The two are now inseparable. They eat together, go out together, paint together and sleep together.
