He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himThe Titanic is slowly wearing out, disappearing into the abyss. Some evocative images and 4K videos, collected 14 years after the last exploration by Atlantic Production in collaboration with a team of experts, show clear signs of deterioration, which could lead to the complete dissolution of the wreck.
The ship, which sank after colliding with an iceberg on April 14, 1912, is currently 3.800 meters deep in the Atlantic. Her story, which inspired a vast filmography, is the story of probably the most tragic shipwreck ever in the civilian sphere (1518 of the 2223 people on board, including the 900 crewmen, lost their lives).
And after 107 years, even what remains of the huge disaster is disappearing. Over the course of five scuba dives, an international team of explorers inspected the sunken ship, showing that while some parts of the wreck were still in good condition, others were irretrievably lost.
Atlantic Productions are pleased to announce they have recorded the first ever 4K images of RMS Titanic for a new Documentary. The images reveal the state of the wreck on the first manned dive for 14 years. #titanic pic.twitter.com/oxuEugs2N6

"The captain's bathtub, an image particularly appreciated by Titanic fans, is now gone [...] - explains historian Parks Stephenson - The whole deckhouse (part raised above the deck to increase the height in the cabin, Editor's note) on that side is collapsing, taking the boardrooms with it. And that deterioration will continue to advance ".
In fact, it is likely that the next “victim of the sea” will be the sloping roof of the saloon, in the bow. But later other pieces of the wreck "will return to nature". On the other hand, strong ocean currents, salt corrosion and metal-eating bacteria attack the ship, and it isn't there any way to stop this process.

All that remains is to watch images and videos, and wait for the next documentary which will be made with this material.
