One of the most gruesome scenes ever seen, the one shown in a video in which a trophy hunter kills a lion lying on the ground because he is probably asleep. And now many ask for the name and surname of someone who was capable of such a cowardly gesture.
They laugh proudly, they shake hands convinced of their omnipotence. What is omnipotent in killing an animal and especially in doing it while the lion is helpless and defenseless, we just can't understand it.
A video that we could define in one way only: disgusting. Trophy hunting is inconceivable in itself, but killing like this hides a perverse and dangerous mind. The man silently mumbles something, then fires a shot, then another. The lion writhes in pain, agonizing on the ground, before dying.
The images were shared by @Protect_Wldlife, but no details were provided on where this very serious incident took place, nor the name and surname of the trophy hunter. As we know, lions are on the ICUN Red List of Threatened Species and are among the animals defined as vulnerable. Today, in fact, there are less than 23 thousand, only a century ago they were 200 thousand and there are those who fear that by 2050, the king of the forests could become extinct.
The reactions of the people of the web were immediate: "a creepy couple", "idiots", "for money and without humanity", "it is inhumane to shoot an animal, but doing it while it sleeps is even more so", are just some of the comments under the video.
