Suffering from a stroke, Tony ended up in the hospital in intensive care. Away from home, among other things, he could no longer take care of his tiger cat Chicken Little.

A neighbor of Tony's has started looking for a new family for the cat. Answering the appeal posted on Facebook was Amanda Hassan, a woman who volunteers in an animal shelter.

When she learned the story of Chicken Little, the woman opened the doors of her house wide to not leave the cat alone, but she did more. As soon as Tony was transferred from the ICU to a nursing home, Amanda saw fit to reunite the family, even if only for a short time.

So even though Chicken Little is safe and loved in the new home, Amanda has arranged a surprise for Tony. With the passing of the nursing home that while not admitting pets made an exception, pretending not to see the cat, Tony and Chicken Little have finally hugged again.

And after the classic distrust of our cat friends, the kitten ran into his arms to purr.
A brief meeting, but a great promise: Amanda will try to organize other visits. "We hope to take her every couple of weeks to keep Tony's spirits up with regular visits," the woman said.
