An act of unprecedented violence. Man is truly capable of terrible things and once again the victims are animals. What we are about to tell you is a very sad story but luckily it has a happy ending. A dog was thrown alive into a ditch, with its paws and muzzle tied with duct tape. There he remained for 12 hours, under bitter cold before being rescued.

We are in Missouri where a tragedy was about to take place. A black and tan colored dachshund was gagged and thrown into a ditch. A helpless being victim of human cruelty. It didn't matter if it was really cold outside. The front legs were tied together with duct tape, as were the hind ones. An event that took place last year in February but which is being talked about on social networks again. The little dog was found in February 2019 along Highway M. Marshak.

Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak arrested the perpetrator. It is a 39-year-old man, Paul Garcia of Barnhart, sentenced to prison with a $ 50.000 bail on charges of animal abuse and armed criminal action.

The dog did not belong to the man, an inmate. Garcia said he was installing some speakers when the dachshund got under his truck. Garcia reportedly told investigators he panicked, believing the dog was being used to monitor his movements. So he put it in a bucket and wrapped the tape around his mouth and legs. He told detectives that he eventually took the dog to Imperial where he stopped and threw it out the window.

It was very cold that night and when the dog arrived at the animal hospital the next day, his body temperature was very low. The hospital staff did not know the dog's name, so he was initially called Jimmy. The little boy was hospitalized for a few days in serious condition:

“He was cold, he was hungry and with a concussion,” the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office tweeted.

“Jimmy” is doing much better. This is a look at him.
We want to get him back to his owners. Right now he is NOT available for adoption.

Today Jommy is fine but his story is still going around the world. It is really difficult to try to understand what led the man to make this crazy gesture. Katie Kofron, the owner, saw the photo on social media and realized it was her missing dog, and it was called Flick. Thankfully Flick is now reunited with his real family and is fine.

    Jimmy

We are heartened by the fact that the perpetrator of this terrible violence is paying for what he did.
