Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerous

Development of the soundshirt, a real sound shirt that allows deaf people to hear the music on their skin.

A wearable tactile device that can make deaf people hear music. It's called Sounshirt and was designed by CuteCircuit, a pioneering London company that since 2004 has been combining fashion and technology to create intelligent fabrics capable of making sweaters, shirts and accessories interactive.

In particular, Soundhirt incorporates 30 microsensors into the fabric that translate sound, in real time, into a unique tactile language for each piece of music being played.

"In this way the violins can be heard on the arms and the drums on the back, thus creating a completely immersive sensation for a deaf audience.

"We intuitively mapped how we thought the music could be mapped to the body - explained its founder to Fortune in the prototype test carried out with an orchestra - The bass notes, deeper and heavier, activate the actuators towards the bass in the lower parts of the torso and the lighter or lighter sections such as the violin, on the other hand, higher on the body, around the neck area "

Not only technology, but also comfort: the sonorous shirt is in fact created using specially developed elastic and intelligent fabrics that do not require threads because they are already incorporated into the garment itself.
